My focus here was mostly getting depth into the branches. Since this placed my attention on the structure of the tree, I had the opportunity to play with the visual patterns one can create with sweeps of branches.

  1. very nice - if you're interested, sometime when neither of us work on Thursday, come to the japanese garden in Northfield where I volunteer. Your drawing and that type of gardening and tree care share a certain sense of idealised realism, it might make interesting study from life.
